The Rosary For World Peace

The Rosary for World Peace catapults the medieval mystery play genre into the twenty-first century.

Based on the template of the Rosary prayer format, the four acts of The Rosary for World Peace are themed according to the four major Mysteries of the Rosary: The Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries.

In this engaging version, the personalities of the New Testament (e.g. Jesus, Mary, Nicodemus, Pilate) sing prophetic Old Testament Scripture mini-dramas, prefiguring each of the following narrated New Testament Rosary mysteries. As the drama progresses, Jesus's Way of Peace unfolds in the face of mounting opposition. Ultimately, He conquers to reign as the King of Heaven and Earth.

Four orchestral productions with dueling choruses are envisioned:

Over 1800 Scripture verses set the mini-dramas and narratives. In addition, 20 representative languages of the world are integrated throughout the work, in this poetic communion with the people of the world.
